Biogas

When it comes to biogas we offer following services:
  • Construction of biogas plants - “turnkey” option , offering flexible solutions for each individual plant
  • Project financing
  • Financial structure and technical project
  • Assistance in obtaining necessary approvals and permits
  • Monitoring of the construction
We are entering into partnerships with clients. We are currently working on three projects of BIOGAS plant construction . We build our own plant.

Biogas as a green energy source

What is biogas?

Due to the limited use of fossil fuels and increasing environmental pollution, the use of renewable energy sources is becoming increasingly common, and one of the most efficient energy is biogas. Biogas is a mixture of methane (50 to 70%) and carbon dioxide (30 to 40%) with traces of ammonia, hydrogen, nitrogen, hydrogen, sulfur, carbon monoxide and water vapor. Unlike fossil gas, biogas combustion is neutral, with no CO2 so it does not contribute to increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Biogas is obtained by fermentation or rotting of organic materies, that is , green energy from the plants and organic waste. Besides the manure and silage ,today increasingly is used waste from agriculture, households and food-processing industry and modern technology allows the simultaneous production of electricity and thermal energy. Among the users of this renewable energy sources, besides industry and agriculture, are also facilities for sewage and waste disposal. In the world today there are more than 5 million units for biogas production, among which there are very simple ones . In Europe, according to some estimates, 10% of green energy is obtained from biogas, while in Serbia this alternative source of supply has not been developed to the possible extent.

Plant for biogas production besides el. energy has the primary advantage is that biogas gives by-products. The resulting heat can be used, or close to home (heating system) or for popular greenhouses, and processing is available, and biodiesel. The rest of the hard substance, which is otherwise a very good soil, it can be and briquette and used for heating, since it is practically odorless and tasteless. The construction of the plant is very fast, and on average takes 4 month. Every plant is different because each client has different individual needs and resources

Biogas plant , besides producing el. energy has the primary advantage in fact that biogas gives by-products. The obtained heat can be used, or for home close to plant (heating system) or for more and more popular greenhouses, and with processing biodiesel can be made , as well . The rest of the hard substance, which is otherwise a very good fertilizer, can be used for making briquettes ( used for heating) , since it is practically odorless.

The construction of the plant is very fast, and on average takes 4 month. Every plant is different because each client has different individual needs and resources

The most common ways to use biogas

Biogas has similar properties as natural gas, therefore it can be used for the same purpose. Biogas is very efficiently used to produce heat and gas, electric power, the simultaneous production of heat and electricity, heating and cooling, obtaining hydrogen and its further use, manufacture of chemicals, fuel for motor vehicles and agricultural mechanization.

The advantages of using biogas:

- It is a renewable energy source
- Reduces the emissions of carbon dioxide and methane
- Reduces the unpleasant odors
- Getting a high quality fertilizer
- Reduces the pollution of land and underwater
- Allows the purposeful use of abandoned agricultural land
- The possibility of additional energy activities provides an additional source of income
- Allows the reducement of the use of artificial fertilizers

At the present , when the supply of Serbia is more depending on imported energy, the state itself is doing its best to create conditions for the larger use of alternative and renewable energy sources.

In Serbia there is a significant potential of renewable energy sources for electricity generation, primarily biomass and water potential and other forms of renewable sources (wind, geothermal, solar energy ...). The share of energy resources that can be obtained from biomass is by far the largest, amounting to about 10.000 GWh, or about 2.4 million tons of oil equivalent.
